Slide a carriage bolt into each of the slots on the side where the
side platform is to be mounted on the inside of the front and rear
platform tubes. Slide the corner brackets (70569 is mounted to the
front platform tube and 70568 will be on the rear platform tube)
over the bolts and secure with lock nuts. Leave these loose for
now as we will slide them into position later. Lay the platform side
assembly on top of the front and rear and thread the winch cable
thru and out the bottom of the side platform tube.
Insert the cable into the hole and out the end of the front platform
tube. Thread the locknut on to the cable end and tighten until at
least two threads show outside the nut.
Slide the cable end with the nut applied back into the
front platform tube so that the flat sides of the locknut
slide past the retainer ribs and the nut is flat against
the top of the front platform tube. Lift the side platform
tube and allow the cable end to slide back inside the
tube allowing it to rest on top of the front and rear
platform tubes. Slide a carriage bolt into the slots on
each end of the side platform tube on the inside and
slide the previously mounted brackets over the
carriage bolts and secure with locknuts.
