3) Adjustment
NOTE
：
1. Be sure to adjust the hand brake ass'y after
reassembly
2. After adjusting the play of the foot brake, adjust the
hand brake.
3. Off the both rear wheels from the ground with a
garage jack, and range gear is neutral position.
a.
Confirm that the hand brake is at the lowermost
position.
b.
Tighten the U-nut until the screw of the wire
assembly is projected about 10mm from the U-nut
top face.
c.
Repeats depress the brake pedals several times.
d.
Repeats pull-up and pull-down hand brake lever
several time.
e.
Adjust the wire assembles by nuts ① and ② at
the bracket to stretching the right and left wires
equally.
f.
Confirm that the hand brake works start from the
first notch of the hand brake ratchet and the right
and left rear wheels are locked at the third or
fourth notch, adjust at the lock nuts
① and ② .
g.
Confirm that the rear wheels rotate freely when the
hand brake is released. (If the brake drags,
readjust.)
