SET UP
2. SOUND/CONTRAST
a) SOUND
The oven offers a choice of Simple Beep, Melody or No Sound. The oven comes set for Melody. If you wish
to change this, press the
SET UP
key, touch
SOUND/CONTRAST
then
SOUND
. Then touch your choice
on the screen and press the
START/AUTO MINUTE
key. The selected sound does not change even if the
electrical power supply is interrupted. Note that even when No Sound is chosen, there will be a sound for the
Kitchen Timer, if it was set.
REMINDER FUNCTION:
This is an audible signal that reminds you when cooking, defrosting or reheating has finished. The sound will
repeat every 60 seconds and continue for 30 minutes unless you press the
STOP/CLEAR
key or open the
door. To set the Reminder, touch
ON
on the
REMINDER FUNCTION
screen. If you do not need the
Reminder, touch
OFF
. The selected setting will not change even if the electrical power supply is interrupted.
There is no
REMINDER FUNCTION
if you choose No Sound.
b) CONTRAST
Normally there is no need to change the display contrast; however, should you wish to do so, press the
SET UP
key, touch
SOUND/CONTRAST
and
CONTRAST
, and then touch
LIGHTER
or
DARKER
until the
contrast is as desired. Then press the
START/AUTO MINUTE
key. Take care when touching Lighter,
ensuring that the display is always readable. The selected contrast will not change even if the electrical
power supply is interrupted.
3. CHILD LOCK
The Child Lock prevents unwanted or accidental oven operation, such as by small children. The oven can be
set so that the control panel is deactivated or locked.
4. KG/LB (Conversions)
Your oven comes set for kg (kilograms). You can use the weight conversion function to convert kg to lbs or
vice versa. The oven memorises the weight unit of the last operation, until you change it. To change, touch
desired unit of weight and press the
START/AUTO MINUTE
key. The selected weight unit will not change
even if the electrical power supply is interrupted.
5. KITCHEN TIMER
You can use the
KITCHEN TIMER
for timing where microwave cooking is not involved. For example, to time
boiled eggs cooked on a conventional hob, to monitor the standing time for microwaved food or to remind
you of the time when making a phone call.
Example:
To set the timer for 5 minutes.

The Demo Mode summarises the features of this oven. To cancel the Demo Mode, press the
STOP/CLEAR
