Using Scan to Sharpdesk Mobile or Scan to Desktop

In order to use Scan to Sharpdesk Mobile, the machine must be connected to a network that has a wireless LAN 
access point, and you must install the “Sharpdesk Mobile” application on your mobile device and register the 
machine. For details, see the Sharpdesk Mobile manual. You can install Sharpdesk Mobile from the store of your 
mobile device.
You can also send scanned data directly to a specified computer. To use this function, the Sharpdesk Network 
Scanner Tool must be installed. For details on the installation procedure and settings, refer to the Sharpdesk 
Network Scanner Tool manual or Help.
Use the SCAN MENU key 6 to save scanned images to your mobile device or your computer.

In Sharpdesk Mobile on your mobile 
device, select the machine and tap 
[Scan] to ready the device for 
reception.

Press the [SCAN] key (

).

The scanner mode 
selection indicator lights 
up and the machine 
enters scanner mode.

Place the original on the document 
glass or in the RSPF.

Press the [SCAN MENU] key (6).

"Shd" appears in the 
number of copies display, 
and the number of the 
pressed [SCAN MENU] 
key "6" appears in the 
ratio display.

Press the [START] key (

).

The document is scanned and the scanned 
image is sent to your mobile device or your 
computer.

• If multiple mobile devices execute "Scan" from Sharpdesk Mobile on each device at the same time, scanned 

image can be sent only to the device that executed lastly.

• When using Scan to Desktop, only one profile can be registered in the network scanner tool. If multiple 

profiles are registered, only the settings of last profile registered are enabled.

• In the case of executing Scan to Desktop, an error will occur on the machine if the network scanner tool 

profile is deleted before Scan to Desktop is used. 
If scanning is executed using Sharpdesk Mobile on the mobile device after a network scanner tool profile is 
registered, the network scanner tool profile will be deleted.
If you need to use Scan to Desktop, re-register the network scanner tool profile.
