8.4 Brake control operation
INFORMATION
To avoid damage to the brake control, adhere to the required off periods.
8.4.1 Brake control during automatic mode
Proceed as follows to avoid damage to the brake control, e.g. when the system is in
automatic mode:
1. With a brake coil power of P ≥ 70 W, ensure a timeout of at least 1 second for
brake control.

8.4.2 Brake control during setup and jog mode
For operating conditions such as setup or jog mode, timeouts shorter than 1 second
are possible. Proceed as follows to avoid damage to the brake control, e.g. when the
system is in setup or jog mode:
1. Observe a minimum timeout of at least 3 minutes after 20 emergency stop braking
operations.
