2. Use the
right arrow
key to add a highlighted gas to the “Sample Gas
Mixture” table. Note - a maximum of 8 gases can be specified in a mixture.
3. Use the
left arrow
key to delete highlighted gases from the “Sample Gas
Mixture” table. Note – if no gases are highlighted, then the bottom-most
gas in the mixture table will be deleted every time the
left arrow
key is
pressed.
4. When the “Sample Gas Mixture” table is complete, accept the mixture by
using the
Next
key to navigate to the
Accept Mixture
button and press
Enter
.
7.4.1.1.2 To set the volume of each gas:
1. Use the
Left
and
Right
arrow keys to select the digit to be changed.
2. Use the
Up
and
Down
arrow keys to change the value of the selected digit.
3. Select the next gas to be edited by using the
Next
key and follow the same
procedure as above to set the percentage for each gas.
4. When all of the % values have been entered, use the
Next
key to navigate
to the
Accept
button and press
Enter
. Note - the Accept button is
activated only when the gas % sum is between 99.9 and 100.1%. If the
sum is outside of this range, the sum is shown in red and the
Accept
button is deactivated and shown as light gray.

Balance Update
feature - Any gas % left as 0 can be automatically set by
the analyzer using the Balance Update feature as a convenience to the user.
a. -For a single gas, the Balance Update will calculate the % required
to make the sum of all gases equal to 100%.
b. -If the percentage of two or more gases are not specified, the
Balance Update feature will calculate equal values for each gas in
order to bring the sum of all gases to 100%..
c. When the percentage of each gas in the mixture has been properly
set, use the
Next
key to navigate to the
Accept
button and press
Enter
to save the mixture parameters and return to the main data
display.
6. The GSF setup is then saved upon acceptance into a tab-delimited line in
the monthly GSF log file as described on page 47.
*There are 13 standard gases in the Supported Gases table. Up to 10 additional
user-specified gases can be added to the table. Please contact Servomex Support
for further information.
7.4.1.2 Template Display – Creating/Applying/Editing/Deleting a User
Defined Mixture
The Template display in the GSF editor, as shown in Figure 17, enables the user to
create, edit or recall pre-defined templates of gas compositions for easy retrieval.
Note - pressing
Esc
at any time will return the user to the Data Display screen
canceling any changes made to the GSF Editor to that point.
