Type
There are 3 connection types:
•
Obtain Address Automatically (DHCP) : If selected, the
Wireless HD IP Camera will obtain its IP address and related
information from a DHCP Server. Only select this option if
your LAN has a DHCP Server.
•
Static IP Address: If selected, you must assign the following
data to the Wireless HD IP Camera.
•
IP Address - Enter an unused IP address from the address
range used on your LAN.
•
Subnet Mask - Use the same value as PCs on your LAN.
•
Default Gateway - Use the same value as PCs on your
LAN.
•
PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet) : This is the most common login
method, widely used with DSL modems. Normally, your ISP
will have provided some software to connect and login. This
software is no longer required, and should not be used.
•
Username - The user name (or account name) provided by
your ISP.
•
Password - Enter the password for the login name above.
Obtain DNS server
address
automatically If selected, the Wireless HD IP Camera will use the DNS address or
addresses provided by the DHPC server.
This option is only available if the IP address setting is
Obtain an
IP address Automatically .
Use the following
DNS server address Primary DNS server - Use the same value as PCs on your LAN.
Normally, your ISP will provide this address.
Secondary DNS server - This is optional. If entered, this DNS will
be used if the Primary DNS does not respond.
WINS Address There are 2 options:
•
Obtain WINS address automatically - If selected, the
Wireless HD IP Camera will obtain its IP address from DHCP
server.
•
Use the following WINS address - Enter the IP address of
your WINS server.
