Stacking UltraWave units
To increase the height of the microwave field, it is possible to stack two, or three, UltraWave units
on one mounting post. Use the UCM Height Calc tool to determine the required mounting heights
and mounting angles for the stacked units. Each UltraWave sensor must use a different Frequency
Pair. To ensure maximum signal isolation, use Frequency Pairs that are at least two numbers
apart. Do not use Frequency Pairs that are adjacent, consecutive numbers (e.g., use Frequency
Pairs 1, 3, 5, rather than 1, 2, 3). To facilitate the wiring connections, it is recommended that the
receivers be mounted on one post, and the transmitters be mounted on another post.
