To exit from the Line View screen and return to Grid View, press the

Back

button. The Grid View

screen respects any display settings changed while in Line View. If the velocity is changed, the
depth slices are reprocessed.

Adding a line

During data collection, you may realize that you want to expand the search area of your grid.
Press

Add Line

to do this. This takes you to a screen shown in Figure 7-41.

Pressing

Add X Line

Add Y Line

adds a respective line in the X or Y directions at the end of

the grid. Press the same button repeatedly to add multiple lines.

There is the option of specifying the direction of the newly added line by pressing the

Line

Direction

button, which toggles between forward and reverse.

Note that any added lines are not be included when the depth slices are generated on the DVL.
Depth slices are restricted to the originally defined grid size. To generate depth slices for the
