Step 6 Use a torque wrench to tighten the locking cap on the AC cable to a torque of
5 N· m, as shown in Figure 5.8.
5.3 Connecting the PV Strings
The following items are prerequisites for PV Strings connection;
DANGER otherwise, an electrical shock can occur.
PV modules generate electric energy when exposed to sunlight and can create an electrical
shock hazard. Therefore, when connecting the PV modules, shield them with opaque cloth.
Before connecting DC input power cables, ensure that the voltage on the DC side is within its
safe range and that the DC SWITCH on the inverter is OFF. Otherwise, high voltage may
result in electric shock.
When the inverter is grid-tied, it is not allowed to maintain DC input power cables, such as to
connect or disconnect a string or a module in a string. Only after the inverter enters in
shutdown mode, it is allowable for preceding DC input power cables maintenance.
The following items are prerequisites for PV Strings connection;
