9 DISPOSAL
• When unpacking, make sure that the components of the packaging
(polyethylene bags, polystyrene pieces) are out of the reach of children.
RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
• Used and old devices must be returned to the responsible recycling
center. Under no circumstances expose to open flames.
• Used and old devices are not unusable waste.
An environmentally sound disposal recovers many valuable raw
materials.
• If electrical equipment is disposed in rubbish dumps, hazardous
substances may enter into the ground water. Thus, such substances
enter the food chain and endanger your health and well-being.
• Before you dispose any old device you must first disable it! Before
disposing unplug the power plug and cut off the power cable on the
device.
• The materials in the device being recyclable are provided with
appropriate information. You contribute significantly to the protection
of our environment by properly disposing your old devices or its
materials as well as the packaging.
• Dispose the packaging material in designated containers provided
by the local authorities in your home town.
• If there are no suitable disposal containers in your living area, take
these materials to a suitable municipal collection point.

Correct disposal of used electric and electronic devices
(electronic waste):
EU law demands a mandatory separate dis posal of electric/
electronic devices. According to the legis lation of the European
Union any electric and electronic device may not be regarded
as normal household garbage but must be returned to a
designated collection center determined to recycle these devices.

authorities.
