4.4.8 POST Port 80H decode
POST port 80H is a debug port used for developing. This option allows choosing if the output of
this port is on PCI or LPC bus.
4.4.9 Internal SMBUS PCI device
Using this option, it is possible to turn on or off the internal PCI controller for SMBus.
4.4.10 Internal Audio type
This option allows selecting the audio interface coming out from NH82801GHM Southbridge. It can
be set to AC97, HDI interface, AUTOmatic or OFF.
4.4.11 Internal UHCI USB ports
This option allows choosing how many internal USB ports are enabled, for working in USB 1.1
mode. Possible choices are: 0, 2, 4 or 6.
WARNING:
if
“Internal UHCI USB ports” is set to 0, the
Internal EHCI Controller will not work, so there will not be any USB port at all.
Total number of USB ports will depend, therefore, on the number of UHCI USB ports enabled,
considering that with 2 ports enabled, only ports 0 and 1 will work, with 4 ports only ports from 0 to
3 will work, and with 6 ports enabled, USB ports 0÷5 will work.
4.4.12 Internal EHCI USB
Internal EHCI controller allows using all USB ports enabled also in high speed-mode. If enabled,
EHCI controller takes control of all enabled USB ports, which can now work both in USB 1.1 and
USB 2.0 mode. Please consider that if Internal UHCI USB ports are set to 0, the EHCI USB
controller will be always disabled.
4.4.13 Maximum UDMA mode
It allows choosing which Ultra-DMA Mode has to be set for EIDE section. Possible choices are: 2
(ATA 33), 3 (ATA50), 4 (ATA66), 5 (ATA100) and None.
4.4.14 Internal IDE/SATA mode
This option allows selecting if only PATA controller or if both SATA controller and PATA controller
must be enabled.
Depending on the configuration chosen, there will be one of the following situations:
PATA only: no SATA interfaces available, on XTX connectors there will be signals related to IDE0
and (only in case your board’s configuration supports Secondary IDE signals) to IDE1.
SATA + PATA: SATA interfaces available, configured as follows:
IDE0 Master: corresponds to SATA port 1
IDE0 Slave: corresponds to SATA 0 Channel
IDE1 (Master and Slave) corresponds to Primary IDE interface
4.4.15 Thermal Management
This option describes the kind of behaviour that the board must observe in case of processor
overheating. In case
OFF
option is selected, the CPU board will continue to work regularly.
Otherwise, it is possible to select the type of thermal management, as described in specifications
of Intel
®
Atom
™
processors.
4.4.16 Maximum CPU frequency MHz
It allows the selection of operative frequency (MHz) to be used for the CPU.
