4.3.8 Typematic Rate
When typematic programming is enabled, this option allows to program the keyboard repetition
time, i.e. the number of characters per second that are automatically repeated until the key is held
down. Many possible rates are available, from 30.0 to 2.00 cps.
4.3.9 Wait for F1 on error
If “
Enabled”
, in case of error during the boot phase, the system halts with the request to press F1
to continue.
4.3.10 Power Button Instant OFF
When this option is enabled, is it possible to shut-down immediately the system, simply pressing
the power button of the carrier board (if present).
When disabled, it is necessary to keep power button pressed for at least 4 seconds for an
immediate shut-down of the system

4.3.11 Ignore IDE 80 cable check
When this option is enabled, the system will not perform check of 80-poles cable for IDE Ultra-ATA
133 performances.
4.3.12 Console redir. port
Console redirection option allows redirecting all video output on an eventual serial port present on
the Carrier Board.
This menu item allow to select if console redirection port has to be 3F8 (COM1) port, 2F8(COM2)
port, or has to be set OFF.
4.3.13 Console redir. after boot
This menu item allows selecting if after O.S. boot the video output must continue to be redirected
to COM port, or if it can be displayed normally.
This is particularly useful in “blind” applications, where it could be necessary to have continuous
video redirection on a COM port for debugging purposes.
4.3.14 Seek Hard Drive at Boot
When enabled, this option let Hard Drive’s heads return to origin point during initialisation phase
4.3.15 Sec. to wait for HD reset
This option is very useful for the use of older hard disk drives, which requires more time after the
start-up before that they can grant the access. With this option it is possible to specify how much
time must the system wait before to attempt an access to the Hard Disk, in order to allow its
complete reset (possible choices are 0, 2, 4 or 8 seconds).
4.3.16 First / Second / Third / Fourth boot device
This option allows choosing in which order the mass storage devices have to be searched for a
valid O.S. for performing the system start-up. Possible choices for each entry are:
None;
IDE0 Master ;
IDE0 Slave;
IDE1 Master;
IDE1 Slave;
Floppy;
CD-ROM;
USB CD-R;
USB disk.
