Introduction
Depending on the vehicle, some radio-navigation systems are equipped
with an additional “hybrid receiver” which is capable of receiving both ana-
logue and digital TV stations via the vehicle aerial.
In a DVB-T television channel, several programmes are bundled together for
transfer in one dataflow (so-called “Multiplex”). Additional services can also
be transmitted, e.g. the electronic programme guide EPG and radio.
In areas without DVB-T, it is only possible to receive analogue TV stations
with the corresponding restrictions. In some areas, both analogue and digi-
tal TV are available.
Station selection in border areas
In border areas, it is also possible to receive TV stations from another coun-
try which are broadcast using a different TV standard (TV type).
If you are travelling abroad for longer periods, it is advisable to set the TV
standard to the country in which you are travelling
