SeaMAX Software Installation

Once SeaMax software is installed on your host PC you can proceed with configuring your device. You will need
the tools installed during the configuration process. Configuration information may be found in the section

Hardware Configuration

.

Do not connect the I/O module to the host until the software is installed.

To install Sealevel Systems software, you must log in as an administrator or have administrator
privileges in Windows.

Instructions for Downloaded Software Installation

1.

To obtain the

most current software package from Sealevel’s website, download from here:

•

SeaMAX for Windows

•

SeaMAX for Linux

2.

Choose the link for the target operating system and click on the ‘Download File’ link to

download the current version.

3.

Once downloaded, if you are using Windows 7 or newer operating systems, right click on the

installer executable and choose ’Run as Administrator’. If you are using an operating system

prior to Windows 7, double click on the executable to launch the InstallShield and initiate the

software installation.

Upgrading to the current SeaI/O Software (SeaMAX)

1.

Download the current SeaMAX software using the instructions from the

Downloaded Software

above. Please take note of the destination directory to which it will save.

If you are using a Wireless (W-series) or Gateway or Ethernet (E-series) SeaI/O module, skip ahead to
either the Configuring a Wireless Module or Configuring an Ethernet Module sections of this manual,
before using MaxSSD.
