"Pulse Count" Mode: Flow Rate
•
Tag:
Allows you to configure a 16-character name for the digital channel. This name will be used to identify the channel in a data download.
•
Input Mode:
Allows you to select the digital input mode. In this case, "Pulse Count" mode.
•
Sensor Type:
Allows you to configure the sensor type to be connected to the digital input: PNP, NPN, or Dry Contact.
•
Counting Edge:
Allows you to configure the desired co
unting edge. This way, the device will increment counts each time the configured edge
is detected at the digital input. You can configure it to count on the Rising, Falling or Both edges.
•
Debounce:
If the sensor type configured is Dry Contact, it is necessary to set a debounce time for edge detection. The debounce is the sensor
stabilization time (the minimum time at which the sensor must remain at the logical level of interest so that the detected edge is considered
valid). The minimum configurable debounce time is 50 milliseconds and the maximum are 6 seconds.
•
Application:
Allows you to select the application type of the digital input. In this case, the "Flow Rate" mode.
•
Sensor Factor:
Allows you to configure the sensor factor used at the digital input. This parameter can be found in the sensor manual as
k-
factor
.
LogBox BLE
provides three units for the sensor. The custom unit option can be selected to meet any need not previously listed by the
device.
•
Average Flow by Acquisition Interval:
Allows you to configure the device to log the average flow rate per acquisition interval.
o
User Unit:
Allows you to configure the flow rate unit related to the pulses counted at the digital input.
LogBox BLE
provides nine flow
units. The custom unit option can be selected to meet any need not previously listed by the device. If this option is selected, the "Sensor
Factor" and i
ts respective unit need to be configured for the device to take counts and displays the flow rate in the configured unit.
Custom:
Allows you to configure a custom unit for the digital input. The field allows for describing the unit with up to eight characters.
If a custom unit is configured, it is necessary to configure the "Unit Factor" parameter, correlating it with the "Sensor Factor"
parameter. See PULSE COUNT section.
o
Unit Factor:
If the "User Unit" or the "Sensor Factor" parameters are configured in "Custom" mode, the "Unit Factor" parameter will need
to be configured. The unit factor should relate the required unit to the sensor unit and the sensor factor will be used as a factor to be
multiplied in the counts read from the digital input (See PULSE COUNT section).
o
Decimal Places:
Allows you to configure the desired number of decimal places for displaying the calculated value, in flow, from the digital
input.
o
Alarms:
See FLOW RATE MODE ALARMS section.
•
Volume Since Last Reset:
Allows you to configure the device to log the volume since the last reset.
o
Unit:
Allows you to configure the flow unit related to the pulses counted at the digital input.
LogBox BLE
provides nine flow units
.
The
custom unit option can be selected to meet any need not previously listed by the device. If this option is selected, the "Sensor Factor" and
its respective unit need to be configured for the device to take counts and displays the flow rate in the configured unit.
Custom:
Allows you to configure a custom unit for the digital input. The field allows for describing the unit with up to eight characters.
If a custom unit is configured, the "Sensor Factor" parameter will need to be configured. See PULSE COUNT section.
