GPS
LogBox 3
G
has a GPS interface, only available in the version with GPS device, which should be enabled via configuration software (see the
Configuration Software
chapter).
The
GPS antenna, which comes with the device, should be positioned in an unrestricted area that can be easily seen by satellites (see
In
stallation
chapter to see the external antenna positioning and fitting the antenna to the device). Its correct positioning ensures proper operation of the
device’s
GPS.
If enabled in the confi
guration software and configured to be logged and published to
NOVUS Cloud
, the position of the device will be obtained and
published at the logging frequency.
If
the GPS option and the "Synchronize automatically" option on the "Clock" tab are enabled, the device will automatically synchronize the date and
time according to information obtained by the GPS.
The
GPS receiver requires continuous visibility with satellites.
There is no reception in tunnels, closed rooms or covered garages. Reception may be impaired in urban valleys.
The
GPS function can be used simultaneously with the SMS function, and if enabled, its position can be queried via SMS commands.
Once requested, the
device will send the following replies via SMS (considering a hypothetical situation):
