has the SMS feature, which allows for infor
ming the user about different device situations. Event SMS messages are automatic
warnings about channels in alarm condition; Command SMS messages, in turn, have various functions, which range from setting device
configurations to checking specific information.
For SMS features to f
unction properly, a SIM Card with enabled SMS plan is required.

vents correspond to alarm situation replies via SMS to contacts or groups previously registered on the "
Contacts
" screen and selected on the
"
Alarms
" screen of
NXperience
(see
Configuration Software
chapter).

COMMANDS

ake via SMS messages generated by the user to the device. By means of SMS
commands,
LogBox
3G
allows for performing some operations remotely. With these commands, some device statuses can be requested (Read),
some operating parameters can be edited (Write), and the device can be asked to take some actions (Write).
To restrict access to SMS command functions, a password n
eeds to be configured.
To use SMS functions and commands, a SIM Card with enabled SMS plan is required.
Each message is divi
ded into different operators with different functions, required for the device to properly understand the action requested by the
u
ser. Moreover, multiple commands can be sent in a single message, abiding by the maximum length of 150 characters.

tion of all symbols and commands used in the available SMS commands.

operators send commands to define and change values, for
example. Read operators return information about pre-configured parameters.
The password validat
ion operator is used to authenticate the registered password. If there is no password previously registered in the device, the
password validation operator should be entered with the pa
ssword blank (pass#). If there is a password registered, it should be entered right after
the (pass#1234), with no spaces.
