3. Click the
Maintenance
tab and then click
Start
.
4. Click
Init
to initialize and then put the 96-well plate and the buffer plate in the system.
5. Verify the M position.
a. Click
M
and then verify that the transport system moves to the M row of the buffer plate.
b. Click
Up
and then verify that the capillary tips are centered in the wells.
If the tips are not centered, then click
Back
or
Forward
until the tips are centered and then write down the
value in the
Set X(M)
field.
6. Verify the D position.
a. Click
D
and then verify that the transport system moves to row D of the 96-well plate.
b. Click
Up
and then verify that the capillary tips are centered in the sample wells and that they do not touch
the bottom of the wells.
• If the tips are not centered, then click
Back
or
Forward
until the tips are centered and then write
down the value in the
Set X(D)
field.
• If the capillary tips touch the bottom of the wells, then click
Down
to lower the height of the 96-well
sample plate and then write down the value in the
Set Z
field.
