The mapping rules can be defined using the following formulas:
UDP port = 49152 + 256 x (QAM Channel No - 1) + 2 x Program Number
with
-
QAM Channel No = a number between 1 and 24 (see table)
-
Program Number: a number between 2 and 33
PMT PID = (PID Map value + 1) x 16
with
-
PID Map value = Program Number (in case of default mapping table)
ES PID Range:
-
Start: PMT PID + 1
-
End: PMT PID + 15
Notes:
The UDP port is always even.
An UDP port with program number 0 or 1 is not allowed.
Example: We have to define a mapping rule for Quad Channel QAM Card number 4,
RF output 2, the upper frequency, and program number 10. The QAM channel
number for the upper frequency of the second RF output of QAM Card 4 is 16 (refer
to the table earlier in this topic).
UDP port = 49152 + 256 x (16 - 1) +2 x 10 = 53012
PMT PID = (10 + 1) x 16 = 176
ES PID Start = 176 + 1 = 177
ES PID End = 176 + 15 = 191
