“Hygiene Recommendation“
1. Foam Cleaning / Machine type ....
Schunk GmbH & co. KG
Spann- und Greiftechnik
COP-Cleaning & Disinfection
FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES
Application:
COP (Cleaning-on-Place):
Low pressure foam application
Typical residues:
Mixture of tallow, protein, fat, grease, possible pathogen or food dangerous microbes such
as E.-coli, Salmonella, Listeria, ...)
Specific application area:
·
Food robot systems
General information:
Meat always leaves an increased protein and fat film on the surfaces. Remove coarse soils
and clean the machine daily. If possible please
prevent the dry up
of residues
on the
surfaces.
To avoid corrosion, please ensure that food and water hardness deposits will be removed
daily and that a
thorough rinsing
will be carried out.
To prevent damage of electrical devices and sensitive machine part such as plastics and
seals, we recommend to use a
low pressure system
(</= 25 bar). Low pressure also
prevents formation of aerosols and as a result it is suitable to avoid the cross contamination
of cleaned surfaces!

Notes
Preparation for Cleaning
Remove food. Cover all sensitive parts such as electrical devices.
Disassemble equipment according to the instructions of the machine
supplier!
Pre-rinsing
Water
cold- 60
Rinse equipment with
low pressure
(</= 25 bar) from top to bottom.
Rinse soiled parts inside and below the machine.
Collect residues
Collect residues with a wiper. Deposit them in a tray. Remove them to
waste.
Mild-alkaline Cleaning
P3-topactive LA
or alternative Ecolab product from the
recommendation list. Please contact your local
Ecolab service.
2 - 5 cold-60 15 - 30
Foam from bottom to top. A contact time of 15 minutes is needed to
soften and prepare the deposits.
Note:
If an acidic cleaning is required, use
P3-topax 52
to remove
mineral stains. For POM-material an acidic cleaning is only recommended
in case of specific indication and limited numbers of use. A practical
frequency is once per 2 to 6 weeks.
Intermitted rinse
Water
cold- 60
Remove deposits by rinsing with
low pressure
(</= 25 bar) from top to
bottom.
Control rinsing result e. g. by use of analytical pH-test stripes!
Cleanliness check
Check cleaning result. Re-clean if necessary.
Neutral Disinfection
P3-topax 99
or alternative Ecolab product from the
recommendation list. Please contact your local
Ecolab service.
1 - 3 cold-60 15 - 30
Disinfect from top to bottom. Treat all surfaces completely with the
disinfectant. Disinfect after each cleaning!
Final rinse
Potable
Water
cold-60
Remove disinfectant residues by thorough rinsing with
low pressure
(</=
25 bar) from top to bottom. Rinse with potable water.
Assemble cleaned and disinfected machine parts after drying according to
the instructions of the machine supplier. Take care of
personal hygiene!
(see hygiene recommendation 2)
Store cleaning tools
To prevent cross-contamination, clean all cleaning tools with a e. g. 2%
P3-topax 66
solution and soak into a 1%
P3-topax 99
solution. Refresh
disinfectant solution every day.
