6. Commissioning
Warning
First-time commissioning must be conducted by qualified
personnel.
Before commissioning for the first time, check the filters
for dirt and check that they are secure. Replace the filters
if they are dirty. The procedure for changing the filter is
described in the „Maintenance“ section.
There must be no blockages, dust or dirt in the air inlet or
outlet. They must be removed from the opening.
If all the connections have been installed correctly, the
device is ready for use.
Schüco VentoTherm can be operated at two speeds.
Schüco VentoTherm Comfort also features an automatic
function.
Speed 1: partial load operation, volume flow of 15 m³/h
Speed 2: full load operation, volume flow of 30 m³/h
Automatic: automatic operation (Schüco VentoTherm
Comfort)
6.1 Description of the operating unit
The Schüco VentoTherm operating unit is integrated in the
window frame.
It consists of a push button and four display panels.
Both the Standard and Comfort versions have the display
panels. However, only three display panels are active in the
Standard version.
6.2 Operation
To switch on Schüco VentoTherm, press the push button (1).
A blue display panel lights up (4) and ventilation speed 1 is
activated.
Press the button a second time and both blue displays
light up (3 and 4).
Ventilation speed 2 is now activated.
If you have Schüco VentoTherm Comfort, press the push
button (1) a third time until the green display (2) lights up.
The automatic function is now activated.
The red display (5) flashes if Schüco VentoTherm has
malfunctioned.
If the red display (5) remains lit, a filter needs to be chan -
ged.
To switch off Schüco VentoTherm, press the push button
(1) several times until none of the displays are lit.
The brightness sensor regulates the brightness of the
displays. As darkness falls, the brightness of the displays
is reduced.
The electrical key data of the device is checked during
first-time commissioning. To do this, the device must be
operated under normal operating conditions.
After disconnection from the mains (first-time commissio -
ning, change of filter, or power failure etc.), the device runs
a test sequence for 30 seconds. This is indicated by all the
displays on the operating unit flashing continuously.
The device then starts in the last operating mode set.
In the Comfort range, the device only runs at speed 1 for
the first 15 minutes after power failure in order to set the
sensors.
If the indicator for the set ventilation speed is flashing, the
temperature has dropped below the minimum operating
temperature of -15°C and the device switches off.
