Connecting IEC connector
The IEC connector must be connected on site.
Cut the mains cable specified to the relevant length on
site.
Remove the insulation from the cable.
Fit the cable with wire end ferrules.
Attach the cable to the IEC connector as shown in the
diagram.

Live = brown
Neutral = blue

Now connect the IEC connector to the IEC socket on the
device.

Equipotential bonding connection
Schüco VentoTherm has a connection for equipotential
bonding in a building and if necessary can be incorporated
into the equipotential bonding system of a building.
As per VDE 0100 group 700, equipotential bonding in
a building is required for the following buildings due to
particular dangers:
Industrial buildings
Rooms with a bath or shower (part 701)
Property in the countryside or in a garden (part 705)
Medical rooms (part 710)
High fire risk areas
High explostion risk areas
Areas with high humidity
Container of swimming pools and other containers (part
702), sauna

Equipotential
bonding
Connecting LON interface
To integrate Schüco VentoTherm into the building mange-
ment system, devices with LON interface are also availa -
ble. LON (Local Operating Network) is an open, manufac -
turer-independent and standardised system. Components
from various manufacturers can be combined.
