Compacting Station - KM-CFK
The Strunk KM-CFK compacting station compacts (com-
pacts, shapes and welds) stripped wire ends from 0.5 to 6
mm² (20 AWG - 10 AWG) on the CrimpCenters of the 6 Ser-
ies through a resistance welding process. Depending on
the CrimpCenter model, one or both ends of the wire can
be compacted or combined with other processing steps.
The system includes the KM-CFK station, a separate control
unit and an (optional) separate cooling unit.
Scope of Application
The Strunk KM-CFK compacting station
compacts (compacts, shapes and welds)
stripped wire ends from 0.5 to 6 mm² (20
AWG - 10 AWG) on the CrimpCenters of the 6
Series through a resistance welding process.
The stripped wire end is first positioned by
the swivel arm of the fully automatic crimp-
ing machine in the compacting tool and
then compacted between vertically
arranged electrodes, with two ceramic slides
laterally delimiting the compacting width.
The electrodes and the ceramic slides can be
exchanged in a few steps for different wire
cross-sections. Welding parameters can be
monitored during the process and are
always available for evaluation with PC-
based control.
