1) For a proper functioning of the safety gear, the rail blade surface must be completely free
from visible dirt and rust and lightly oiled with HLP68.

WARNING
Safety Gear Braking Action Impaired by Contaminated Guide Rail Surfaces
Safety gears with reduced braking action could result in damage to the installation or
in serious injury or death.
For correct braking action of the safety gears:

Clear the guide rail surface from rust, Tectyl
and dirt.
–
Use a cloth to lightly oil the guide rail surface with HLP68.

Push the safety gear downward and sideward (see arrows) and check the
horizontal and vertical mobility of the safety gear.

Check the correct running clearance (s

) of 2 mm. If necessary adjust the
gap to 2 mm using the setting screw (1).
