Install the cloth beam and ratchet advance lever.

Parts: cloth beam, ratchet advance lever, 2

–

3/8" USS

Place the ratchet advance lever on the axle of the cloth
beam, next to the ratchet gear. Place a washer on each end
of the cloth beam. Insert the cloth beam in the holes in the
cloth beam supports.

Attach the front castle cross brace.

Parts: front castle cross brace, 4 – #8 x 1-1/2" screws.

Attach the front castle cross brace to the front edge of the
castle sides, using a screw at each corner of the brace. The
square holes should be at the top of the brace, and the logo
should face front and be right side up.

Attach the front beam.

Parts: front beam with attached extension, 2 – 1/4" x 2"
machine screws, 2 – 1/4" barrel nuts.

The front beam should be oriented between the tops of
the outside legs, with the extension to the front and angled
down. Hold a barrel nut in the hole at one end of the front
beam. Insert a screw through the leg from the outside-in
and into the barrel nut in the front beam.
