2 SAFETY
DANGER!
Risk of falling due to the technical condition!
Risk of the load falling and risk of injury with permanent consequences due
to the technical condition.
■
Do not use the lifting magnet if it is not fully functional.
■
Do not use the lifting magnet in an unsuitable environment (explosive
atmosphere, humidity above 80 %).
■
Insufficiently qualified personnel must not be tasked with maintenance
work. Use only original spare parts for maintenance. Follow with the
checks schedule and carry out maintenance work in good time. Do not
disable or remove safety elements.
■
Do not modify the functional properties or the power of the lifting magnet
or its components. Do not carry out any provisional repairs which contra-
dict the maintenance instructions.
■
All safety elements must be checked regularly. Monitor the operating
environment. Any persons tasked with maintenance must consistently
observe and adhere to the safety instructions and provisions in these
operating instructions.
■
Assign maintenance work only to qualified personnel.
■
Only buy original spare parts.
■
Properly record the condition of the lifting magnet as well as malfunctions
and maintenance work. Follow the maintenance and checks schedule.
DANGER!
Risk of falling due to movement during handling!
Risk of the load falling and risk of injury with permanent consequences due
to movement during handling.
■
Do not lift unevenly balanced loads.
■
Do not lift overly long loads (check for incorrect attachment of the lifting
magnet on the longest side of the load).
■
Do not transport load above persons or near them.
■
Avoid swinging and swivelling the load during handling. Avoid contact
with the load during handling. When handling the load, do not execute
any compound movements and do not use the full movement speed in
the end positions of the handling system. Do not carry out any sudden
changes in direction and/or speed.
■
Observe the information in these operating instructions.
■
Use personal protective equipment (work clothing, hard hat, safety shoes,
hearing protection).
■
Monitor the centre of gravity when lifting and tilting the load: A tilt angle
of 5° must not be exceeded. Otherwise, stop handling the load immedi-
ately, adapt the position of the lifting magnet and repeat the process. Use
run-on speeds for stopping and avoid dynamic loads. Place the load only
on a stable surface. Proceed with caution when handling the load (lifting,
transport, setting down).
■
Switch off the lifting magnet only once the load is securely supported.
