The cautions in schematic diagrams.
1. Safety significant parts.
Product safety should be considered when a compo-
nent replacement is made in any area of the projector.
Components indicated by mark (
) in the parts list
and the schematic diagram designate components in
which safety can be of special significance. It is, there-
fore, particularly recommended that the replacement
of the parts must be made by exactly the same parts.
3. Reading of parts.
Read resistor codes as follows:
1. All resistance values are indicated in ohms:
K=1,000.
M=1,000,000.
2. Wattage, material and tolerance codes can see it on the
chart of next page.
Read capacitor codes as follows:
1. For capacitors identified with
, values less than 1
are expressed in uF, values more than 1 are in pF.
2. For capacitors (electrolytic) identified with
, values
are expressed in uF.
3. Rated voltage, material and tolerance codes can see it
on the chart of next page.
2. The cautions in collation of parts.
i)
Don't collate parts with schematic dia-
grams. Be sure to collate with parts list.
The design of this product is under constant review.
Therefor specifications are subject to change for
improvement. And whilst every effort is made to keep
this service manual up to date, part specifications may
be different between schematic diagrams and parts list.
In the case of this service manual, part specifications in
the parts list are the latest data.
ii) Specification of capacitor and resistors will be shown
with coded symbols, reading code symbols following
the chart and notes. Some capacitor and resistors will
be shown directly with values and no other informa-
tion. Detailed information on each capacitor and resis-
tor will be shown in the parts list.
4. Risk of electric shock.
HOT CIRCUIT IS IDENTIFIED WITH THE LINE
(
) IN THE SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM.
The signal circuit and control circuit of this projector
are insulated (COLD) from AC line by the insulation
transformer inside the projector. But, assembly power,
assembly PFC, assembly lamp ballast and assembly
lamp are not insulated from AC line, and those are
"HOT." An insulation transformer should be connect-
ed in the power line between the projector and the AC
line before the service of hot circuit is performed on the
projector.
