our HDTV comes equipped with special time features such as a sleep timer and the ability to
program the HDTV to turn on and off automatically at a time you specify.
You must set the HDTV clock before setting any of the special time features. If you have not
done so, see “Setting the Time and Date” on page 20.
Using the Sleep Timer
The sleep timer allows you to set the HDTV to shut off
automatically after a period of time ranging from 15 –
120 minutes.
To set the sleep timer:

Highlight the
Time
icon and press ENTER.

Set Sleep Timer
and press ENTER.

Use the I-Point control to select the amount of time before
the TV automatically shuts off (15 – 120 minutes, in incre-
ments of 15 minutes). Move the I-Point control to the left to
decrease or to the right to increase the time. Press ENTER.

Press EXIT to exit the menu.
The timer will turn off the television after the selected amount of time
has elapsed.
To turn the sleep timer off:
If you want to cancel the sleep timer, follow the steps above for setting the
sleep timer, but instead of choosing a time increment in step 3, choose
Off .
NOTE
Press SLEEP on the
remote control to quick-
ly access the sleep timer
while watching your
HDTV. Press SLEEP once
and the SLEEP display
appears. Press SLEEP
repeatedly to cycle the
display from SLEEP OFF
to SLEEP 120 Min, in 15
minute increments.
When the time period
you desire is displayed,
wait five seconds and
the sleep timer will be
set and the SLEEP dis-
play will close.
