Understanding the On-screen Menu System
Using the Menu Controls
The menu controls are located in the center of the remote control. These
controls are the
MENU
,
GUIDE
,
ENTER
and
EXIT
buttons. In the center
of the menu buttons is the I-Point control, which acts like a “joystick” to
move the menu system’s on-screen pointer.
Push the I-Point control up, down, left or right to move the on-screen
pointer. As the on-screen pointer passes over the icons, the icons are
highlighted, changing from blue to red.
The first thing you can try using on the menus is the on-screen help sys-
tem. When the help is turned on, you will see descriptions of the
HDTV’s features and instructions on how to use them.

he menu system presents information on three different levels. The icons on the left
side of the screen are the first level menu. The options are Picture, Sound, Time, Setup,
Guide and Help.
When you use the remote control to select an icon at the first level, the HDTV displays a
second level menu. In many instances, if you select an option from the second level menu,
the second level menu will be replaced with a third level menu.
