• When the camera is connected to both PoE and the power adapter, it uses power from the first
connected power supply.
Caution
PoE (Power over Ethernet) is a network technology that uses a LAN cable to transfer electric
power along with data. It eliminates the necessity for an extra power cable for network
products.
When using PoE, please make sure to connect the camera to a device that complies with the
PoE standard: IEEE802.3af. Failure to follow this recommendation may result in low
performance or damage to the camera.

3.4. Connecting External Control Terminals
Available terminals for external control devices are from left to right: Alarm Input, Alarm
Output, Ground, RS-485 ‘+’ and RS-485 ‘-’.
To connect a cable, insert the stripped end to a terminal while holding down the square
button. Releasing the button fastens the cable.

· As shown in the Chart 3-1, voltage drop may occur depending on the length of a copper wire:
excessively lengthening the adapter cable may decrease the performance of the camera.
※
Recommended Camera Operation Voltage: DC 12V±10% or AC 24V±10%
※
Voltage drop measurements on the chart above may vary depending on the type of copper wires and their
manufacturers.
