• Pattern : A screen unlock pattern is a touch gesture you create
and use to unlock your device. Follow the prompts to create or
change your screen unlock pattern.
• PIN : Select a PIN to use for unlocking the screen.
• Password : Create a password for unlocking the screen.
• None : No pattern, PIN, or password is required. The screen will
never lock.
Owner Information
This option allows you to show owner information on the lock
screen. You can also enter text to display on the lock screen.
1.
Tap the Show owner info on lock screen checkbox to create
a checkmark if you want your owner information displayed.
2. Enter text that you would like displayed on your lockscreen
and tap
.
Encryption
To require a numeric PIN or password to decrypt your phone each
time you power it on or decrypt the data on your SD card each
time it is connected:
1.
From the Home screen, tap ➔ Settings ➔ Security .
2.
To encrypt all data on the phone, tap Encrypt device . For
more information, read the displayed help screen.
3.
To encrypt all data on the SD card, tap Encrypt SD card .
Tip: Make sure your battery is charged more than 80 percent or the travel
charger is connected. Encryption may take an hour or more.
Remote controls
Remote controls uses the SamsungDive service to track and
control your device remotely. Also, using the Find my mobile
feature, you can find your missing phone. See
www.samsungdive.com for more information.
To enable remote controls:
1.
From the Home screen, tap

Settings
➔
Security
➔
Remote controls .
2. Tap OK .
3.
Tap the OFF / ON slider to turn Remote controls
on.
SIM Change Alert
SIM Change Alert sends an SMS message to preset phone
numbers if your phone is ever turned on with a different SIM card
in it.

SIM Change Alert .
