9.7.- Option selection «FREE RUNNING».
• The UPS has the free running option enabled, because it is selected from factory. When the input frequency is out of the
established ranges, the inverter supplies a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz as it corresponds, unless the input frequency is exagger-
atedly for above or under the nominal one. Where, in this last case the
UPS will operate in «BATTERY MODE».
• When the equipment is connected to the mains, the frequency is auto-sensed to detect automatically the 50 or 60 Hz.
9.8.- Battery test.
• The UPS has three modalities of battery test:

Every time that the equipment is started an auto battery test is made.
ƒ
The UPS has an advanced battery management that warns when it is necessary to replace them. The test is done every 30
days of operation in «LINE MODE» and it makes a discharge test to evaluate the battery status. This period time is consid-
ered effective from the last day that the
UPS has operated in «BATTERY MODE».

It is possible to force a manual battery test through the activation of the parameter option «BATTERY TEST», see section 9.5
and table 4.
10.- PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND COMPLETE ACOUSTIC ALARMS LIST.
• The UPS doesn’t require an specific maintenance less for the batteries, which are the most vulnerable part in the equipment
and at the same time they are those who guarantees a continuity of electric power supply during mains blackouts.
The fundamental aspects that should be complied are the environmental conditions of temperature and humidity, according to
the specifications defined in the technical specifications.
