USAGE
Using the two-way (2x subw 1x tweeter), bass-reflex active sound box is prima
-
rily recommended for hobby and party entertainment purposes. To increase volume and
sound quality, it can be connected to an optional passive sound box: PAR 225.
With the help of the wireless BT connection, the backside AUX RCA pair, and the 3 pcs
∅
6,3 mm sockets’ (MIC1, MIC2, GUITAR) inputs, you can connect directly external
devices to it, for example: mobile phone, computer, CD/DVD player, musical instru-
ments, microphone, mixer… The device includes a BT/USB/microSD/MP3 multimedia
player and a speakerphone for microphones. The enhanced KARAOKE function is
capable of filtering out or suppressing the original vocals. In addition to the two wired
microphone inputs, it also comes with two wireless microphones, so you can use up to
four microphones simultaneously.
INSTALLATION AND FUNCTION CHANGE
Perform all connections when the system is unplugged. Make sure that the sound box
and the device to be connected are switched off. Make sure that the connector’s pola-
rity and their connection are according to the requirements. Keep the microphone cable
and the audio cable away from the power cable. The power cable must first be plugged
into the sound box and then into the power outlet. Before powering on the system for
the first time, make sure that the connections are correct. Make sure the connections
are stable and free of short-circuits, the
VOLUME
control should be set in the minimum
position so that no noise is generated by the speakers. To turn it on, set the
POWER
rocker switch to
ON
position. The upper control panel has two LEDs and a digital disp-
lay. After the welcome message, the display shows the
BLUE
function. The wireless BT
connection is active then. Other modes can be selected with the
MODE
button (BLUE/
USB/SD) or when you insert the USB/microSD device, it automatically switches to MP3
player mode. The
AUX
push-button activates the backside 2xRCA inputs. After use,
turn it off at the backside (
POWER OFF
) and unplug it from the mains.
• If a USB or microSD storage is already inserted when the power is turned on, playback will
begin automatically.
• If there is no sound, check the AUX button. When it is turned off, the external equipment
connected to the rear RCA connectors can be listened to.
IF YOU HAVE TWO SPEAKERS: HIFI STEREO
You can connect this amplifier sound box to a passive sound box without amplifier, if
you purchase if separately. Option: SAL PAR 225. Do not connect any other model as
it may cause a malfunction. It is forbidden to connect two external sound boxes at the
same time as it may cause malfunction.
Together, the two sound boxes provide highly dynamic HIFI STEREO sounding (BT,
MP3, AUX). On the rear speaker clip output (
SPEAKER OUT 4-8 Ohm
) – according to
the required polarity (red: +, black: -) – connect the given type sound box (1 pc), when
the system is switched off. Make sure that the end of the speaker cable do not touch
each other or any other wire, connector, screw, etc. To operate the LED light effect in
the passive sound box, connect the LED wire (1x RCA plug) of the passive sound box
to the
AC OUT
socket. The
LED POWER
slider switches the LED lights on both sound
boxes on and off simultaneously.
• The extension of the two cables connecting the two boxes (speaker cable and LED power
supply) must be carried out by a qualified technician using a speaker cable of at least 2x0,75
mm2 cross section. Unprofessional intervention may cause malfunction, which is not covered
by the warranty.
VOLUME CONTROL
Volume control works in three different modes to the different signal sources: with the
VOLUME
rotary knob, by holding pressed the scroll buttons of the multimedia
units (BT/USB/microSD) and with the
M VOL
rotary knob to the microphones.
• If the volume control of the multimedia unit is in minimum position, the volume of the (BT/USB/
microSD) signal sources cannot be increased neither with the VOLUME rotary knob. Do not forget
that these two settings have an effect on each other.
• Pressing the button shortly may activate another function depending on the accurate
operation mode of the device.
THE MAXIMAL VOLUME
All speakers must be operated in prior to proper use. Operate only at 50 % load for the
first 30–50 hours of operation.
At higher volume levels, in some cases, distorted, lower quality sound may occur. This
can be caused by an input signal that is too large. To avoid this, reduce the signal
level of the external equipment or, if necessary, decrease the volume (
VOLUME
). The
maximum volume of the system is that which can still can be heard in good quality
without distortion.
• Increasing the volume will no longer increase the output power, but it increases the distortion of
the system. This is harmful to the speakers and can cause malfunctions.
• If you are connecting a microphone, place it as far away from the sound box as possible to
eliminate feedback. Do not point the sound box towards the microphone as the feedback will da-
mage the speakers. When using a microphone, gently increase the volume, and if you experience
feedback, immediately rewind the controller and if necessary, reposition the box.
TONE CONTROL
There are several options, so you can set up the perfect sounding to suit every need.
Note that different signal sources and volume levels require different settings, otherwise
the sound quality may decline. Distorted sound is harmful to the speakers. The settings
can be applied together, influence each other and may cause distortion if not adjusted
properly.
Sound effect options: 5-band graphic
EQUALIZER, BASS
(deep) and
TREBLE
(high)
rotary knobs and
EQ
push-button between the control buttons of the multimedia unit.
(NORMAL / ROCK / POP / CLASSICAL / JAZZ / SOFT)
Recommended setting: NORMAL (EQ switched off) and high/deep controllers rotated to
middle position; by controlling the 5-way graphic tone-control carefully, manually.
GRAPHICAL TONE CONTROL (EQUALIZER)
You can increase or decrease the volume at 5 different frequencies along the controls:
100 Hz – 330 Hz – 1 kHz – 3,3 kHz – 10 kHz. There is no intervention (0 dB) in the
middle position.
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
The device can be paired with other devices that communicate with BT protocol, within
a range of up to 10 meters. After that, you can listen to music played on your mobile
phone, tablet, notebook, and other similar devices. Select the
BT
function, on the
display the
BLUE
sign is readable. In the way it’s written in the instruction manual of
the device to be paired, search the devices nearby which have BT wireless connection,
including this speaker. Connect the two devices with each other. In case of successful
connection, the
BLUE
sign that was flashing until then is continuously readable on
the screen. The desired program is then heard on the loudspeaker. Usually the player
application of the playback device (e.g. on a mobile phone) can be remotely controlled
by briefly pressing the / / buttons.
• One speaker can be paired with a BT device at the same time.
• Once turned on, it will automatically reconnect to a previously paired and properly connected
device, if it is nearby.
• If the wireless connection is lost, press the MODE button as needed until you reach BT again
and pairing mode is reactivated
• If you receive a phone call to your connected mobile phone while listening to music, the music
will be paused. After the call, resume playback on the phone.
• The actual range depends on the other device and the environment. (e.g. walls, human bodies,
other electrical devices, movement…)
• Abnormal operation, noise may be caused by the electrical appliances operating nearby, this
does not indicate the malfunction of the device.
• Malfunctions may be caused by the specific features of the external device, this does not
indicate the malfunction of the device. Occasionally, the BT function may be limited depending
on the external device.
MP3 PLAYBACK from USB/microSD mass storage
The
INPUT
push-button in the upper right corner of the control panel must be on (
USB
)
