Place Infant in
Infant Restraint
Place the infant’s
bottom and back flat
against the infant
restraint. This will
increase comfort and
allow the harness
straps to be properly
tightened.

Check Buckle
Position
Determine which of the
three buckle strap slots
is both comfortable and
snug to use.
NOTE:
Thread buckle strap through the slot closest to
infant.

To Change Buckle
Position
Remove infant from infant
restraint.
Turn the infant restraint
over and locate buckle
strap’s metal retainer.
Insert the metal retainer up through the shell and pad.
From the front, pull buckle free from shell and pad.
6.
Choose one of the three
buckle strap slots that is
closest to the infant.
From the front of infant
restraint, push metal
retainer down through the
pad and shell.
Make sure the buckle is
facing out.

From underneath infant
restraint, pull buckle’s
metal retainer
completely
through pad and shell.

Check Buckle
From the front, pull up
on buckle strap to make
sure it is secured.
The buckle must not
pull out.
c.
Failure to place buckle strap’s metal
retainer completely through pad and shell
can result in serious injury or death.
Buckle Placement for
Small Infants
Choose the slot closest
to the back of the infant
restraint.
From the front of infant
restraint, push metal
retainer down through the
pad and shell. Make sure
the buckle is
facing out.
