Chapter 1

Product Overview

The RSR20-14E series routers

are data communication products independently developed by Ruijie Networks Co. Ltd. by

using advanced semiconductor technologies and communication control technologies. Ruijie series routers are developed

in full compliance with international standards, therefore, it is similar to major routers in terms of use and configuration

approach. Network administrators who are familiar with the configuration commands of major routers may use the routers

without receiving training first.

About the RG-RSR20-14E

The RSR20-14E modular router is an enterprise-oriented network product independently developed by Ruijie Networks.

Designed with a modular structure and 32-bit high-performance RISC microprocessor technology, it is based on our

independently developed high-performance network operating system platform, which is compatible with the standard

configuration GUIs of the mainstream products and delivers easy configuration. The RSR20-14E router provides a great

variety of network security features. It delivers a sophisticated redundancy backup solution, a FUNC multi-functional

button to upgrade the RGOS operating system in the SD card or USB storage device into the device, and IP multicast

protocols, and provides rich QoS features, offering a three-network-in-one solution for medium/small-sized enterprises.

The RSR20-14E modular router supports up to four optional Smart Interface Cards (SIC).

Different SIC slots support different SIC cards. For your convenience, each slot is marked with the supported SIC types.

There are five types of SIC cards in total. See Table 1-1.
