2.3 Data Logging
Data logging is included in the controller to provide details
of historical operation.
The following screen displays the options available for data
logging.
A change log is included to record any changes made to the
application during service. This can be used both to record
changes and also to ensure that the application hasn’t been
changed unknowingly.
An event log is included to record any events of note that
occur during service. This can be used to help diagnose
issues that occur and analyse any repeating incidents.
Examples of types of event logs include power cycles, entry
into local mode, system faults, signal faults and diagnostic
tests.
On entry to the data logging screen the number of new
events for both change and event logs is shown. This
indicates how many new events have occurred since the
data log was last viewed.
NOTE
: if a log is selected and viewed, and then the menu
returns to the data logging screen, the number of new logs
will be reset to zero.
