Fail Safe Setting
The fail safe function activates a backup system immediately, to ensure that adequate
ventilation continues immediately when there is a problem. Commonly a standard relay is
held normally closed by software. When the controller powers off or one of these alarms
occurs, the fail safe triggers causing the backup to take over immediately.
The Platinum has six options besides controller failure or power off to activate the fail safe
relay. Check the additional settings to apply by using the '+/-' key:
•
High Temperature:
Select to trigger fail safe when the temperature is exceptionally
high.
•
Low Temperature:
Select to trigger fail safe when the temperature is exceptionally
low.
•
Low Static Pressure:
Select to trigger fail safe when the static pressure is
exceptionally low.
•
High Static Pressure:
Select to trigger fail safe when the static pressure is
exceptionally high.
•
All House Sensors Fail:
Select to trigger fail safe when all sensors in house fail.
•
AUX:
Select to trigger fail safe when auxiliary dry contact occurs.
