Dolby® Digital® Plus protocol
Audio Coding Mode
(read-only)
2/0 (L R) Sets the audio output channel configuration
to two channels (Left and Right). Path 2 and
4 are fixed to this mode.
3/2 (L R C LFE Ls Rs) Sets the audio output channel configuration
to multichannel (Left, Right, Center,
Low-Frequency Effects, Left Surround, and
Right Surround). Path 1 and 3 are fixed to
this mode.
Data Rate # Specifies the encoder data rate in kilobits
per second (kbps).
The default data rate changes based on the
number of channels:
• For 2/0 mode, the data rate should be
192kbps or higher.
• For 3/2 mode, the data rate should be
384kbps or higher.
It is recommended to set the data rate to
192kbps for watermark encoding.
LFE Selected A Low-Frequency Effects (LFE) channel is
present in the encoder data. Select this box
if the Audio Coding Mode is set to 3/2.
Cleared A Low-Frequency Effects (LFE) channel is
not present in the encoder data. Select this
box if the Audio Coding Mode is set to 2/0.
