Setting up the printer

Enter the IP Address (e.g. 192.168.0.101) and the Subnet mask (e.g. 255.255.255.0)

System requirements for installing the software

Making the setting for Roland@NET

Select a check box [Download Updates Automatically and Notify] if the customer accepts it.

IP address of the PC

IP address of the Priner

Filling Ink

Connecting the Cables

Connecting the Power Cord

Connecting the Ethernet cable (suggested 100Base-TX) to the Computer (Network)

*Make sure to use the Ethernet cable which is category 5 and above.

!! IMPORTANT !!

Connect  the two power cords to outlets on separate systems.

Fix the Ink Cartridge and fill Ink. Refer to the Setup guide [5. Installing the Ink Cartridges].

Setting up the PC

Enter the IP Address (e.g. 192.168.0.100) and the Subnet Mask (e.g. 255.255.255.0).

Setting up the network in reference to the "Roland-PrintServer Network Setup Guide".

Install the Roland VersaWorks in reference to the Quick Start Guide.

Operating system :       Windows XP Service Pack 1 or later, Windows 2000 Service Pack 4

CPU :                            Pentium 4 2.0GHz or faster

Memory (RAM) :            512MB and above (1GB or more recommended)

Monitor :                         High-resolution SXGA (1,280 x 1,024 pixels) or better display recommended

Free hard-disk space required for installation :                100MB

Free hard-disk space required as a working space :        1GB or more recommended

!! IMPORTANT !!

Keep the removed dummy cartridges from being discarded

for future use.
