Using the Internal Power Meter

R&S Cable Rider ZPH option

R&S ZPH-K19 (order number: 1321.0409.02) option is required to operate the R&S
Cable Rider ZPH in the internal power mode.

With the installation of internal power meter option, the R&S Cable Rider ZPH also
supports power measurements without using a power sensor. In that case, you can
connect the DUT directly to the R&S Cable Rider ZPH and still perform accurate chan-
nel power measurements.

Signal source output for model .02

When the "SigGen On" softkey is activated, the R&S Cable Rider ZPH provides a sig-
nal source which you can use to perform a quick cable loss measurement on DUT. See

Activating signal source for model .02

.

Test setup

Connect the DUT to the RF input shown below:

Measuring the power

1. Press the [MODE] key.

2. Select the "Power Meter" softkey.

The R&S Cable Rider ZPH switches its operating mode and shows the measured
power level in dBm.
