The R&S Cable Rider ZPH can also handle 75
Ω
systems. The R&S Cable Rider ZPH
does not select a 75
Ω
RF input. Instead it selects a 75
Ω
matching pad connected at
the RF input. The 50/75
Ω
matching pad R&S RAZ is recommended for 75
Ω
matching
(see recommended accessories). The R&S Cable Rider ZPH automatically considers
the conversion factor when a value of 75
Ω
is set.
1. Press the [SCALE/AMPT] key.
2. Select the "Att / Amp / Imp" softkey.
3. Select the impedance you need.
You can also use other matching pads (e.g. R&S RAM or R&S FSH-Z38) by acti-
vating transducer factors.

Configuring the Tracking Generator
The tracking generator provides a stimulus signal in the spectrum measurement mode.
Configuring the signal source
You can select the type of generator source in three different ways.
●
"Tracking"
Output frequency depends on current measurement frequency.
●
"CW"
Output frequency can be defined.
●
"Coupled CW"
Output frequency is coupled to the current measurement center frequency.
1. Press [MEAS] key.
2. Select "Source" softkey.
The R&S Cable Rider ZPH opens the signal source menu.
3. Select "Source Mode" softkey.
The R&S Cable Rider ZPH opens the submenu that contains the signal source
selection.
4. Select the required signal source.
● If selected signal source is "Tracking", the R&S Cable Rider ZPH opens an
input field to specify the tracking generator offset frequency, "TG Offset".
● If selected signal source is "CW", the R&S Cable Rider ZPH opens an input
field to specify the continuous waveform frequency, "CW Freq".
