Machine construction
The brick saw is equipped with a stainless
steel pulley cover, stainless steel blade
guard, stainless steel container, stainless
steel cutting table and suction unit.
Cutting head
The cutting head is constructed of welded
steel components.
Blade guard
The protective cover is made of stainless
steel and easy to disassemble and assem-
ble with two knurled knobs for the purpose
of changing the cutting blade.
Saw spindle
The motor flange is mounted on the saw
spindle. The saw flange is to be mounted
on the saw spindle with a hexagon nut to
clamp the cutting blade.
Cutting table
The cutting table is constructed of welded
stainless steel components, equipped with
anti-slip rubber. At the bottom 2 flat ball-
bearing guide rollers and 2 diabolo ball
bearings guide rollers are mounted. The
cutting table is provided with a fixed stop
at the front of the suction unit (rear cutting
table), and an adjustable side stop, which
is mounted to the stop on front of the cut-
ting table.
Suction unit
At the rear of the cutting table the suction
unit is fastened providing a suction port
of Ø 63 mm for connecting a industrial
vacuum cleaner.
Retractable brush
The retractable brush is located at the rear
of the brick saw and closes off the top of
the suction unit when cutting, to prevent
dust emission.
unpAckIng And set up
Setting up
• Unpack the brick saw and inspect for
any damaged parts.
• Install the legs with wheels in the rear
sockets at the bottom of the machine
and install the other legs in the front
sockets and fasten with the knurled
knobs.
• Level the brick saw by adjusting the
legs in the sockets and make sure its
stable.
• Release the transportation lock.
Cutting head
• By loosening the lever the cutting
head can be positioned at the desired
height. Higher adjustment of the cutting
head may however affect the suction.
Connecting to power supply
First, check whether:
• the line voltage corresponds with the
data on the machineís specifications
plate,
• there is a grounded power supply,
• the extension cord wire cross-section is
at least 2,5 mm
2
.
Because of the high power the brick saw
and the industrial vacuum cleaner should
be connected to separate power supply
groups.
Motor protection
The motor is equipped with a thermal
safety switch for protection against an
overload. When the motor gets over-
heated, the switch falls back into its initial
position and can only be switched on
again after the motor is cooled down. The
switch also protects against power failure.
When the power returns, the motor will not
start on its own but must be switched on
by hand.
