with a smaller diameter has an adverse
effect on the suction power and may result
in dust emission.
Make sure the industrial vacuum cleaner
is located behind the brick saw. The con-
nected hose should freely move with the
cutting table and suction unit.
Because of the high power the brick saw
and the industrial vacuum cleaner should
be connected to separate power supply
groups. Both machines are to be turned
on/off separate from each other. First turn
on the vacuum cleaner, then the brick saw.
After cutting first turn off the brick saw and
then the vacuum cleaner.
vArIous sAwIng
processes
One-step sawing
(Use only original cutting blades as
advised by the manufacturer)
•
Move cutting head down until the cut-
ting blade is approximately 10 mm
below the cutting table.
•
Secure the cutting head with the knob.
•
Place the material to be cut on the cut-
ting table in front of the suction unit.
Use the adjustable stop on front of the
cutting table for repetitive cuts.
•
Hold the material with two hands while
making sure your hands are free from
the cutting blade.
•
Push the cutting table forward with con-
trolled feed so that the cutting blade is
easy cutting through the material.
•
For cutting hollow bricks, for example
ceramic bricks for interior walls, the
holes on the front must be sealed, to
prevent dust emission through the holes
of these bricks.
Installing the cutting blade
WARNING! Make sure to dis-
connect the machine from the
power supply before fitting or
switching the cutting blade or
when doing any maintenance on
the machine.
•
Remove blade guard.
•
Block the sawing spindle with the
6 mm Allen wrench.
•
Unscrew the 30 mm hexagon nut
with the wrench and remove the saw
flange.
•
Clean the saw flanges.
•
Fit the cutting blade on the centre ring
of the motor flange.
(Check the direc-
tion of rotation and make sure the
blade is well centered.)
•
Mount saw flange and tighten with the
hexagon nut. Place blade guard and
tighten with the 2 knobs.
Retractable brush
The brush should be in line with the top of
the suction unit when cutting, so that the
movable cutting table and suction unit can
easily be pushed underneath.
Vacuum cleaner
Connect a TNO approved industrial
vacuum cleaner with a minimum flow of
400m³/hour (depending on the intensity
of use). For example the Pullman Ermator
S26, the Pullman Ermator S36 or an equiv-
alent industrial vacuum cleaner. If the brick
saw is used intensively (more than 2 hours
per day) then connect a industrial vacuum
cleaner with larger capacity, see table in
chapter ‘Introduction’.
Connect the suction unit with the vacuum
cleaner by a suction hose with a minimum
diameter of 63 mm and a length of about
2,5 meter for optimal suction. The use of a
longer suction hose and/or a suction hose
