on again at either High or Lo w fire, depending on the
thermostat set point.

11.2 Common User Controls (all models)
11.2.1 Combination Fan/Limit Thermostat
The Combination Fan/Limit Thermostat is located at
the top right side of the heater.

air in the normal heating cycle and protects the heat
exchanger against o
v erheating.

11.2.2 Burner Lockout Reset Button
The red w arning light b u ilt into the b u rner control
box w ill ill u minate w hen the control has gone to
locko u t. This may be ca u sed by flame fail u re. Wait
one min u te then press the reset b u tton.
11.3 Li g htin g Instructions (all models)
11.3.1 To Turn On Heater
1. Ens u re that the electrical and gas s u pplies to
the heater are on. Check that the on-site con-
trols are “ON”.
NOTE: The thermostat setting m u st be abo v e the
ambient temperat u re for the heater to operate.
2. The a u tomatic firing seq u ence w ill begin as
described on Page 48, Figure 21 . The heater
w ill no w operate a u tomatically u nder the control
of the on-site controls. Follo w ing long sh u t
do w n periods, the control may go to locko u t.

11.3.2 To Turn the Heater Off
Set the installed remote controls to the “OFF”
position or t
u rn do w n the remote thermostat belo w
the ambient temperat u re.
The b u rner w ill t u rn off immediately.
The fan w ill contin u e to r u n for a fe w min u tes.
To restart, t u rn the remote control to “ON".
If the heater w ill remain off for a long period of time,
w hen the main fan(s) ha v e stopped, t u rn off the f u el
s u pply v al v e and main electrical isolator. To restart
open the f u el s u pply v al v e and follo w the
instr u ctions in Section 11.3.1 .
11.4 Simple Fault Findin g (all models)
Some possible reasons for the heater not operating
are:
1. Gas s u pply not t u rned ON.
2. Electricity s u pply not t u rned ON.
3. The time and/or temperat u re controls are not
ON.
4. The Limit Thermostat may ha v e operated. This
may be ca u sed by an interr u ption of the electri-
cal s u pply or fail u re of the distrib u tion fan.
5. The b u rner s u pply pl u g has been discon-
nected.
If the Limit Thermostat persistently operates, there
is a fa
u lt w hich m u st be in v estigated by a contractor
q u alified in the installation and ser v ice of gas or oil-
fired heating eq u ipment.
NOTE: If the main fan r u ns contin u o u sly, the w hite
b u tton ( Page 49, Figure 22 ) may ha v e been pressed
in - make s u re it is p u lled o u t. Alternati v ely, if a
remote fan s w itch is fitted it may be in the ON
position.

attempts to restart the heater.
Dangerous fuel mixtures can build up.
The fault must be traced and repaired by a
registered installer or service engineer.
