CHAPTER 10.   CLAMP UNIT

Mechanism

1.

Mechanism Outline

Identically constructed clamp units are provided on the 1st and 2nd print drums.

The clamp units are composed of the back and forth motion part and the opening and closing movement
part.

The backward and forth motion is driven by the clamp slide motor.

The position of the clamp is checked by the clamp slide HP sensor and clamp slide return sensor.

The opening and closing action is driven by the clamp opening and closing motor, and the position for the
clamp opening and closing is checked by the clamp plate HP sensor, clamp plate loading position
sensor, and angular sensor.
