Connecting cables

The sensors are connected with each other in ascending order. The long cable connects the battery
pack with the first sensor. Please note the marks for in- and output at the sensors. For the Version 5
Sensors, the plug at the right side of the shock bolt is always the input. The plug at the left side of the
sensor holder is always the output plug. For the Version 3 Sensors, the plug near the shock bolt is the
input plug, the plug near the sensor holder is the output plug.

IMPORTANT:

Never over-bend or fold the cables. The cables are for connecting the sensors among each other and
for connection the Battery Pack with the sensor-chain only. Do not connect the cables directly to the
computer as this could harm the sensors or the computer.

To connect your PC/laptop with the ARBOTOM

®

please use the serial cable. And connect it with the

serial port of your computer. In case your PC is not equipped with a USB-port only, please use an
adaptor cable to connect the serial output of your PC with the USB input of your PC. This adaptor
cable can be purchased in a computer store or via RINNTECH. You can also connect the ARBOTOM

®

and your computer via wireless connection if your computer has got a Bluetooth

®

-port.
