6. DISPLAYS AND HOW TO OPERATE
6-1. Initial Displays
The initial displays are automatically showed up after the power is turned on.
The self-diagnostic display is appeared firstly. If there is no serious error found in the Measuring
Unit, the setting confirmation display is then showed up for two seconds and it proceeds to the
basic display for measuring mode.
If there are some troubles found in the Measuring Unit, the
self-diagnostic display indicates the troubles by reversing the
letter colors (black and white) with beeping. It proceeds to
the basic display for measuring mode unless the troubles are
too serious to operate.
If the troubles are too serious to operate, the error display is
showed up, instead of proceeding to the basic display for
measuring mode
The following table shows all kind of error messages, error status and error shooting methods.

ERROR : LOW BATT.
The battery voltage is too low. The battery replacement is necessary.
ERROR : CONTRAST
Due to the soiled interferometer, the contrast gets too low to
measure. Replacing or cleaning the interferometer is necessary.
ERROR : BRIGHTNESS
The light source brightness of the interferometer is too low to
measure. Replacing or repairing interferometer is necessary.
ERROR : SETTING
The setting data is somehow damaged. Repairing the Measuring
Unit is necessary.
ERROR : SYSTEM
The system error is caused on the Measuring Unit. Repairing the
Measuring Unit is necessary.
ERROR : PUMP
The pump is not activated normally.
Pump replacement is necessary.
