SP-SIM
user Manual V2.2
When the simulation is present (ie the internal SP-
SIM valve is closed), a “pulse”
symbol will be shown;
Whilst the simulation is being performed, the SP-SIM can change settings. Use
the arrow keys to scroll to the setting and use the “+” and “
-
“ keys to change the
values.
Use the timer
key to start the chronometer function which will record the
time taken from one simulation setting to the next.
Note: The SP-SIM simulates both Red and Infrared data through either of the Red
or InfraRed LED’s
at any given time. This allows the user to test the quality of
individual probes and circuits. Tests have shown that worn probes might still
provide a reading on the monitor though the accuracy or functionality is not
guaranteed. By altering the simulation through the Red and Infrared circuits, one
can detect anomalies between the two simulations (should be within 1%) which
would indicate a potential problem with either one of the circuits.
