19.15 Option: monitoring period
PDIS : Monitoring period
Setting range: 0 … 30:0 … 24 h (dd:hh)
Default setting: 01:00
This function lets you set monitoring time, i.e. the time for
which the controller monitors the storage cylinder top temper-
ature S3 (displayed as TDIS among the view-only parameters)
and compares it with the TDIS setpoint. The longer the moni-
toring time, the less frequent the heating cycles determined by
the time DDIS .
For example, if PDIS is set to 0:02, monitoring will continue for 2
hours. If the time PDIS has not finished and the monitored con-
ditions are still satisfied (S3> TDIS for the time DDIS ), monitoring
time is reset to zero and monitoring restarts.
If monitored conditions are not satisfied for the time set in PDIS
(S3> TDIS for less time than DDIS or S3< TDIS ), thermal disinfection
is activated for the time set in DDIS , and relay R3 is activated to
keep temperature S3> TDIS for the time set in DDIS .
If, on the other hand, the value of PDIS is set to 00:00, the disin-
fection function is activated immediately for the time set in DDIS ,
keeping storage cylinder top temperature constantly above TDIS
and increasing the number of pump on/off cycles controlled by
relay R2.
19.16 Option: disinfection duration
DDIS : Disinfection duration
Setting range: 00:00 ... 23:59
Default setting: 01:00
This function determines the duration of the anti-legionella
disinfection cycle, i.e. the time for which relay R2 is activated
to run the circulation pump between the boiler and the storage
cylinder.
When this function is active, the time DDIS appears among the
view-only parameters, and shows the disinfection time re-
maining.
During this time and after first activation, relay R2 is deactivated
if storage cylinder top temperature reaches the temperature in
TDIS + 5 °C, and activated again when storage cylinder top tem-
perature falls to TDIS +2 °C.
If temperature falls below TDIS during disinfection, the disin-
fection cycle is restarted and the time in DDIS reset to zero. The
remaining time DDIS appears among the view-only parameters
on the display; this will be equal to the set time (ignoring the
time already passed) and will only start to decrement from the
moment storage cylinder top temperature rises above TDIS .
19.17 Option: disinfection temperature
TDIS : Disinfection temperature
Setting range: 0 ... 95 °C
Default setting: 60 °C
This function lets you set the reference temperature. The tem-
perature setting must be lower than supplementary boiler tem-
perature setpoint.
19.18 Option: wait time
SDIS : Wait time
Setting range: 00:00 ... 24:00
Default setting: 00:00
This function allows the start of thermal disinfection to be de-
layed. Activation of the disinfection function is delayed by the
time set here.
If this parameter is set to 00:00, the function is deactivated. If
the activation conditions are satisfied (i.e. storage cylinder top
temperature exceeds TDIS ) throughout the delay period, the
monitoring period starts immediately. Otherwise, disinfection is
delayed for the time set here.
